
Beryl is a hexagonal crystallized aluminium-beryllium-silicate
(Hardness: 7,5-8). The best known mineral species are emerald, coloured
green due to traces of chromium, and blue aquamarine, that´s name
reminds on blue sea-water. Also the mineral species bixbite, heliodor,
morganite, goshenite and yellow beryl belong to the mineral beryl.
