| Jade is
a monoclinic, fibrous aggregate of the two minerals Jadeite (Sodium-aluminium-silicate,
hardnesse 6,5-7) and Nephrite (Calcium-magnesium-iron-silicate, hardness
6-6,5).
Due to the fact, that both minerals occur together and are difficult to disdinguish they are just called jade. Jade can be green, white, pink, yellow, brown, violet and black and is nearly always opaque with dark inclusions. Occurances of Jadeite: USA,
Mexico, China, Japan.
