Malachite
Malachite is a monoclinic aggregate of  hydrated copper-
carbonate and is discovered as a weathering product of copper deposits.
Due to its low hardness (4) the gem, that is often grown together with azurite in green and azure-blue layers, is only used for jewellery that is not exposed to heavy wear (studs...).
Sources of  malachite: Russia and Zaire.
