Sodalie
is an aggregate with a cubic chrystal system
and a chemical composition of sodium-aluminium-silicate and traces
of chlorine with the hardness about 5,5-6.
Sodalite shows a light to dark blue with white inclusions of calcite and golden inclusions of pyrite. Due to the fact that is looks very similar to Lapis Lazuli it is often mixed up by mistake. Sources of Sodalite: Canada, USA, Brazil and India. |
